The echocardiogram is non-invasive, painless, radiation-free and completed in 15 to 30 minutes. The cardiologist applies a probe to your chest to obtain precise real-time images of the heart.
Welcome & set-up
You are comfortably installed in the exam room, lying on your side.
Probe application
Gel is applied to the chest, then the ultrasound probe is moved gently.
Image acquisition
The cardiologist visualises the heart in motion and measures blood flow with Doppler.
Immediate results
The results are explained to you immediately after the exam, with a written report.
